Ava’s Forecast: Here comes cool temps and rain chances

We are continuing to track the atmospheric river that’s been providing dangerous weather conditions in Northern California- and it’s set to head our way soon.
Despite causing life-threatening flash flood warnings in San Francisco, the system will only bring light showers for Southern California by Saturday night into Sunday morning.
We are also tracking a cool down with these rain chances. Temperatures are dropping 5 to 10 degrees by Sunday, with a chance of a few light showers as early as Saturday night. We could see these chances stick around and bring mostly isolated light to moderate showers on Sunday through Wednesday.
Inland and coastal areas should only expect totals generally less than 0.10″ to 0.25”.
Mountains could see totals reach closer to 0.50”.
Thanksgiving is seeing a clear-up and just in time too. Turkey Day is trending dry and mild, with 60s and 70s for most of the county.
